Tex-Mex Records presents RETOÑO, a fine
group of young-talented musician’s from San
Benito, Texas. They are regarded as one of the
newest, emerging, young sensational groups in
Latin music.
RETOÑO is made up of the brothers Samuel Jr.,
Salomon & Pablo Ramos, along with their cousin
Armando Ramos Villela. The Ramos brothers
are the sons of musical great Samuel Ramos,
accordionist/vocalist of Los Tesoros de Samuel
Ramos.
The group’s debut album under Tex-Mex
Records and fourth overall, is entitled
“Campanitas De Amor” and was released on July
5, 2010. Their first two albums were with JB
Records, with the second CD “Prefiero La
Soledad” getting a Grammy nomination in 2006;
their third CD “Mundo De Colores” was released
under Joslin Records in 2008.
Their music can easily classify as hybrid of Tex-
Mex and Norteño, encompassing all the right
modern and progressive elements to appeal to
both older and younger audiences.
RETOÑO’S live performances are like no other,
blending smooth vocal harmonies, up-beat
dancing music and great musical execution…..
One can only admire just how much talent these
boys were blessed with. RETOÑO is poised to
lead a whole new generation of Latin music
artists in the years to come.
